Free horoscope matching — Dasa Porutham
Enter both births and get the full compatibility reading: every factor with its score and what it read, every dosha that fired, and the placements behind the number.
We ask for birth details rather than a birth star because both charts are computed for real — which is what lets the Telugu system assess Kuja Dosham and Papa Samyam, neither of which can be read from a nakshatra name alone.
Nothing you type is stored. Both charts are computed, scored and returned, and no record of either birth is kept.
The three systems
South Indian — Dasa Porutham (out of 10). Ten poruthams, each scored 0 or 1. Rajju and Vedha are the classical vetoes: when either fails, the verdict is “Not Recommended” however the rest scored.
Telugu — Dasa Koota (out of 36). Weighted koota scoring with the chart overlay Telugu practice actually leans on: Kuja Dosham counted from the ascendant, the Moon and Venus, and Papa Samyam comparing the malefic burden on the two sides. 24 is the classical acceptance threshold.
North Indian — Ashtakoot Guna Milan (out of 36). Eight kootas — varna, vashya, tara, yoni, graha maitri, gana, bhakoot and nadi. Nadi and Bhakoot at zero are the two classical vetoes.
Scores do not translate between systems. 7 out of 10 and 24 out of 36 are different questions, not the same answer on two scales.
Why the direction matters
Several factors are not symmetric. Varna compares rank in one direction, Gana has a direction-aware table, and Tara counts from each side to the other. Swapping the two people gives a different score — so the form asks which birth is the groom’s and which the bride’s rather than calling them person one and two.
